Q. Do you bring your own Power & Water?
A. Yes, Our vans are fully equipped with their own water tank and power generator so we can work anywhere, we also comply with Sydney Water Regulations.
Q. Do i need to provide off-street parking?
A. Yes, Due to local Council Rules & Regulations and safety reasons we cannot perform work on the side of the road. If you do not have off-street parking we do offer a valet service where we can pickup and drop off your vehicle at an extra cost.
Q. Will recycled water at car wash bays & cafe's strip the wax or paint sealant off my car?
A. Yes, Think of all the people that degrease their engines and all the chemicals going down the drain to be recycled, no matter how good the car wash bay or cafe's recycling system is, it will never refine the dirty water enough to produce pure clean water. Whilst it may not damage your paint it will strip the wax / paint sealant on your car.
Q. My car is washed regularly but the paintwork still feels rough?
A. Washing your car regularly will only remove the dirt and grime on top of the paint, that rough film you can feel on your paint is a combination of oxidisation and contaminants bonding to your paintwork. We can easily remove this film with a Clay Bar.
Q. What is the difference between a Polish and a Wax?
A. A polish will bring back the shine in your paintwork plus remove any swirling or scratches, polishing your paintwork will not protect it from the elements.
Many car wash cafe's advertise as "Wash & Polish". But are they adding any protection to the paintwork? Sure it may make it look good but it will have no long lasting protection. It is very important to keep a coat of wax or paint sealant on your paintwork this will also add a shine to the paint and protect it from the elements.
Q. What is the difference between a Wax and a Paint Sealant?
A. There are many ways to protect your paintwork, as well as many different products on the market to do the job, Superior Shine only use the highest quality products available. A Carnauba Wax will generally last about 3 months whilst a Paint Sealant will last about 6-12 months. It is very important to reapply the product to ensure your paintwork is always protected.
Q. My car has scratches are you able to remove them?
A. This will depend on how deep the scratch is, a basic rule of thumb is if you can feel the scratch when you run your finger nail over it the scratch will be too deep to machine polish out and would need to be touched up or repainted.
Q. How often should i wash my car?
A. At least once a fortnight. For most people their vehicle is their 2nd largest investment (next to their home) and should be protected as so. Bird droppings, bugs, acid rain, and road salt can cause serious damage to painted surfaces if not washed and protected on a regular basis.
Q. Do you offer a guarantee with your work?
A. A vehicle can easily get dirty within a matter of hours especially if it rains, our work must be inspected before the exchange of money to ensure you are happy with the result, any correction must be pointed out prior to us leaving.
Q. Is Superior Shine a professional insured service?
A. Yes, Superior Shine are fully qualified and insured car detailers.
